Aiguille d'Entrèves: Descent on the Toule glacier
Approach
From the Aig du Midi cable car station, go down the ridge and follow the Vallee Blanche route, keeping to the true right side of the Geant glacier. Pass the Pointe Lachenal at the foot of the Pyramide du Tacul.
Ascent
Skins on! Climb up towards the Col d'Entreves passing between the Aiguille de Toule on the right and the Tour Ronde on the left. Gain the summit of the Aiguille d'Entreves. May have a large cornice.
Descent
Magnificent S facing slope of 40/45° for about 500m, to gain the Toule glacier. Ski down to the Mont Frety mid station (2144m) to take the lift back up to Helbronner. Descend to Chamonix by the Vallée Blanche route.
