From the Frasse parking lot take the good path which moves away from the village towards the west (you can also pass through the meadow on the left if the path is cleared). After 300m leave it on the right (sign for Armancette). Climb until a fountain and a small oratory. Do not take the path which climbs on the left to the Armancette chalets (sign without exit) but continue straight to the southwest (ski track error on the IGN map: the forest has grown for a few years). 100m after the fountain take the left trail which goes up a small Talweg and leave the forest around 1590m. Follow the trail as best as you can (west) until the bump which hides Lac d'Armancette (1673m). Return to the north to go up, along the forest, steeper scoops (S3 with 200m HD). The slope becomes gentler to reach the summit of Tête d'Armancette.
The route is not much travelled after Lac d'Armancette. Ideal for a peaceful half-day outing.
Descent: By the same route (without passing by the lake again). At the bottom you meet the skiers descending the traverse of Domes de Miages.
Total time span: 3h30.
Negative slope values means the track is heading uphill.
