From the summit of the Olympie Expresse chair lift, follow the crest on the right, to the North staying more to the Saint Martin side. Large cornices dominate the Méribel valley: you must be careful. The crest descends until a pass at the foot of Roc de Fer at 2100 meters.
Pass the Roc de Fer to the left on the western slope, then continue the crest in the direction of Col Saint Jean at 2049 meters. From the pass descend the Méribel slope diagonally to the left to enter Combe Curé leaving Combe Fenêtre on the right.
The Combe Curé is a beautiful talweg which descends plumb with Croix Jean Claude. Be careful, a reigel blocks the scoop around 1600 meters. Stay at the bottom of the scoop in order to avoid the crags to the right of the scoop and those above the Mergolaz chalet on the left of the scoop. Descend to the Mergolaz chalets and continue the scoop while remaining on left bank of Hopital stream, on the edge of the Adret wood. From here it is possible to go to the left in the meadows in the direction of the village of Allues. Head to the middle stop of the Olympe gondola south of the village which will take you back to Méribel.
